Safety operating procedures for electric forklifts

1. When the power of the electric forklift is insufficient, the forklift's power protection device will automatically turn on, and the forklift's fork will refuse to rise. It is prohibited to continue carrying goods. At this time, the forklift should be driven empty to the charging position to charge the forklift.

2. When charging, first disconnect the forklift working system from the battery, then connect the battery to the charger, and then connect the charger to the power socket to turn on the charger.

3. In general, intelligent chargers do not require manual intervention. For non-intelligent chargers, the output voltage and current values of the charger can be manually intervened. Generally, the voltage output value is 10% higher than the nominal voltage of the battery, and the output current should be set to about 1/10 of the rated capacity of the battery.

4. Before operating an electric forklift, it is necessary to check the effectiveness of the brake system and whether the battery level is sufficient. If any defects are found, they should be handled thoroughly before operation.

5. When handling goods, it is not allowed to use a single fork to move the goods, nor is it allowed to use the tip of the fork to lift the goods. The entire fork must be inserted under the goods and evenly placed on the fork.

6. Start steadily, be sure to slow down before turning, do not drive too fast at normal speeds, and brake smoothly to stop.

7. People are not allowed to stand on forks, and forklifts are not allowed to carry people.

8. Be careful when handling large-sized goods, and do not handle unsecured or loose goods.

9. Regularly check the electrolyte and prohibit using open flame lighting to check the battery electrolyte.

10. Before parking the forklift, lower the forklift to the ground and arrange it neatly. Stop the forklift and disconnect the power supply of the entire vehicle.
