Precautions for safe operation of loaders

Maintain good operating habits

Always sit on the seat during operation and make sure to fasten the seat belt and safety protection device. The vehicle should always be in a controllable state.

The joystick of the working device should be operated accurately, safely and accurately, and avoid misoperation. Listen carefully for faults. If a fault occurs, report it immediately. Parts in working condition cannot be repaired.

The load should not exceed the load-bearing capacity. It is extremely dangerous to operate beyond the vehicle performance. Therefore, the weight of the load and unload should be confirmed in advance to avoid overloading.

High-speed rushing is equivalent to suicide. High-speed rushing will not only damage the vehicle, but also injure the operator and damage the cargo. It is very dangerous and should never be tried.

The vehicle should maintain a vertical angle for loading and unloading. If it is forced to operate from an oblique direction, the vehicle will lose balance and be unsafe. Do not operate in this way.

You should walk to the front of the load first, confirm the surrounding conditions, and then operate. Before entering a narrow area (such as a tunnel, overpass, garage, etc.), you should check the site clearance. In windy weather, loading materials should be operated with the wind.

The operation when lifting to the highest position must be performed carefully. When the working device is lifted to the highest position for loading, the vehicle may be unstable. Therefore, the vehicle should move slowly and the bucket should be tilted forward carefully. When loading a truck or dump truck, care should be taken to prevent the bucket from hitting the truck or dump truck bucket. No one can stand under the bucket, and the bucket cannot be placed above the truck cab.

Before reversing, you should carefully and clearly observe the rear of the vehicle.

When visibility is reduced due to smoke, fog, dust, etc., the operation should be stopped. If the light at the work site is insufficient, lighting equipment must be installed.

When working at night, please remember the following points: Make sure that sufficient lighting devices are installed. Make sure that the working lights on the loader are working properly. It is very easy to have an illusion of the height and distance of objects when working at night. Stop the machine frequently during night operations to inspect the surrounding conditions and check the vehicle. Before passing a bridge or other building, make sure it is strong enough for the machine to pass.

Vehicles cannot be used except for special operations. Using the head end or part of the working device for loading and unloading, hoisting, grabbing, pushing, or using the working mechanism to pull will cause damage or accidents and should not be used indiscriminately.

Pay attention to the surroundings

No idle people are allowed to enter the working range. Since the working device is rising and falling, turning left and right, and moving forward and backward, the surroundings of the working device (bottom, front, back, inside, and both sides) are dangerous and are not allowed to enter. If it is impossible to check the surroundings during operation, the work site should be enclosed by practical methods (such as setting up fences and walls) before proceeding.

When working in places where the road cliff or cliff may collapse, it is necessary to implement methods to ensure safety, send monitors and obey commands. When releasing sand or rocks from a height, pay full attention to the safety of the falling site. When the load is pushed off the cliff or the vehicle reaches the top of the slope, the load will suddenly decrease and the speed of the vehicle will suddenly increase, so it is necessary to slow down.

When building an embankment or bulldozing, or pouring soil on a cliff, pour one pile first, and then use the second pile to push the first pile.

Ensure ventilation when working in a closed space

If you have to operate a machine or handle fuel, clean parts or paint in a closed or poorly ventilated place, you need to open the doors and windows to ensure sufficient ventilation to prevent gas poisoning. If opening the doors and windows still cannot provide sufficient ventilation, ventilation equipment such as fans should be installed.

When working in a closed space, you should first set up a fire extinguisher and remember where to keep it and how to use it.

Do not approach dangerous places

If the exhaust gas of the muffler is sprayed towards flammable materials, or the exhaust pipe is close to flammable materials, fire is likely to occur. Therefore, special attention should be paid to places with dangerous materials such as grease, raw cotton, paper, dead grass, chemicals, or easily flammable items.

Do not approach high-voltage cables. Do not let the machine touch overhead cables. Even approaching high-voltage cables may cause electric shock.

To prevent accidents, please do the following work

When there is a risk that the machine may touch the cables on the construction site, you should consult the power company before starting the operation to check whether the actions determined according to the current relevant regulations are feasible.

Wear rubber boots and rubber gloves. Place a rubber mat on the operator’s seat and be careful not to let any exposed part of the body touch the metal chassis.

Designate a signalman to give a warning signal if the machine is too close to the cable.

If the working device touches the cable, the operator should not leave the cab.

When working near high-voltage cables, no one should be allowed to get close to the machine.

Check the voltage of the cable with the power company before the operation begins.

The above are the safety precautions for loader operation. Some operators may think that the above precautions are a bit cumbersome, but it is precisely because of these precautions that accidental injuries can be avoided during the operation of the loader. Whether you are a novice loader operator or an experienced operator driving a loader, you must strictly follow the loader safety operation to operate.
